Whilst all of our rings are hand crafted, our personalised Bespoke service means that you can create a piece of jewellery that is unique and symbolic to you.

We work directly with you, creating your dream solid gold ring with the intention of it being on your (or the receivers) hand forever.

It is an intimate process and you are included in the whole process ~ from initial design, to stone sourcing.

Yes, and technically this means that your ring becomes a Bespoke piece. We can interchange and add additional (accent) stones; work with different stone shapes / sizes, metals and add personal inclusions like hidden tiny stones and engraving on the inside of the band.

We can even combine different design elements ie. a band from one design with another designs stone setting etc.

We encourage you to visit your local Jeweller and have your fingers professionally sized. Remember that all of your fingers will vary between sizes and your dominant hand will be larger than the other (so have the finger you intend to wear your ring on sized)

As ring sizes are not universal and there may be slight variances between our sizing and other brands, please also ask for the internal measurement in mm.

What if the ring doesn't fit?

Rest assured, most of our rings can be resized.

The best way to move forward is to have your finger professionally sized by a jeweller and then contact us to establish the next step / receive further instructions for returning your beautiful ring.

If the resize is uncomplicated, generally expect a 1-2 week turn around (plus shipping times).




What type of gold do you work with?

When it comes to our rings (and bespoke pieces) we primarily use 14k yellow, rose or white gold. All metal used in the Violet Gray rings is sourced from Australian companies that are members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.

**Upon request, we can also craft in both 9kt or 18kt gold metals.

Unfortunately at this time, we don’t offer Bespoke pieces in sterling silver or plated materials.



What stones do you use?

Your wish is our command!

We love working with Australian stones (Sapphire, Australian Diamonds and Zircon) but we work with a network of both Australian and International suppliers that provide the highest quality stones. With time, patience and clear direction we can almost source anything.

Can you use Diamonds - and if yes, are they conflict free?

Yes – all of our Diamonds are certified and conflict free. They are purchased from accredited suppliers only.



Can you use my stones, or / and gold?

At this stage unfortunately we do not work with customer supplied stones or metals.




Where are your pieces made?

All of our rings are crafted locally right here in Qld, Australia.

On every single ring we work closely, in person with our Violet Gray Jewellers to ensure *she, your ring, is of the highest standards ~ both in material and craftsmanship.

The integrity behind and quality of all Violet Gray pieces is of the highest importance.



How long does it take to complete a Bespoke piece?

The best things in life take time…

All Violet Gray Bespoke rings are crafted to order so generally it takes anywhere from 4 – 16 weeks depending on the complexity of your design, and availability of the stone that you desire.

Please note that sometimes unforeseen delays can arise, but we will be in direct contact and updating you throughout the whole process.



Can I request an urgent completion date?

We will always do the best we can to accommodate your requests. Generally if we have immediate access to the stone, we can make your piece within 3 weeks (absolute minimum time frame)

The sooner you get in touch and the more notice you can give us, the better.

We do have a whole selection of ‘ready to wear’ pieces that can ship out in 1-3 business days.

Can I personalise my piece?


All of our rings are crafted to order, so you have the option to completely personalise your piece.

You have options around the metal, stones, setting style, stone placement, engraving and hidden stones.

If you are chasing a completely unique one-of-a-kind feel, then the Bespoke service is definitely for you.



Do you offer engraving?

Yes, absolutely you can include a personal message or motif.

Maximum length is up to 16 characters.

Please note that engraving can add to the total production time.



Can you make other Bespoke pieces outside of rings?

Yes ~ we are always open to your requests.

Earrings, necklaces and bracelets are all also a possibly.

How can I book a showing?

We are 100% online, so at the moment there is no physical studio or shop location open the public.

In regard to our rings, we can organise an in-person or online (virtual) showing so that you can try on the pieces and chat further about the bespoke process.

Do you ship internationally (outside of Australia)?

Yes we ship all over the world.

Will my order be insured and trackable?

National (Australia wide) parcels are sent with Australia Post; insured and trackable.

We do recommend choosing the ‘Express Post’ shipping option for rings.

All pieces will require a signature upon delivery.

International orders are sent with DHL WooCommerce or DHL Express.



Can I request EXPRESS shipping?

Yes you can.
