VG Love Tales | The Tassie Fam!
These are your stories….
The real people that wear Violet Gray, in your own words, about your special love.
And also, the rings that you now own and cherish and hopefully one day far into the future, will continue to live on the hands of many generations to come.
When Josh first reached out, he shared that he had seen an Aquamarine in one of my designs and couldn’t get it out of his mind.
The colour of the gem was the perfect match to that of his sweet baby-mama’s eyes.
A colour he referred to as ‘Tahiti waters’.
And so, we had the perfect stone custom cut.
And we began…..
This is the love story of Chelsea and Josh from Tasmania, Australia.
Your story, lets start there….
Josh and I first met at 21 and 20 (I am the cougar), he was my personal trainer at an incredible gym in Brisbane. We moved in together 4 months later, then from there started new careers on the same day, a few years later buying our first home.
Our relationship was always so effortless, in a sense we were always on the same page and had the same goals/desires. Our biggest challenge came when we had our eldest and 3 months in decided to relocate to Tasmania where my family reside. Quitting jobs and selling up our home to jump into a whole new realm of unknown… WITH a newborn to add to the mix.
We bought another home which caused us more grief than anything – who in their right minds decide to live in a long-term renovator in the coldest state of Australia? Challenges came but we would overcome them. Another new baby who reminded us we can do all we have done and more with each others unwavering support!
And here we are (still renovating) – finally engaged in what seems to be an already eternally united bond since we first committed and planning a wedding (for who knows when?) at the same spot we got engaged!
Our relationship is like the ocean, we ebb and flow, there are the calmest of days and at times rough seas – but we are each other’s constant and we commit to that each day
Which ring did you receive?
My elegant yet bold ring is the Prana.
Tell us, how did Prana come to you?
She landed on my hand whilst spending a gloriously warm and peaceful day at Cosy Corner (East Coast, Tasmania) – camping with my main squeeze of 9 years, our two young boys and two fur babies! As soon as we see a weekend with sunshine we set up the camper trailer and head up the East Coast of Tassie – this time landing in Bay of Fires.
I could not have picked a more connected proposal – our favourite family activity, perfect weather (thanks Tassie!), and the breathtaking environment that Bay of Fires is, with the whole beach to ourselves.
The blue from the Aquamarine was stunning against the ocean!
Did you know that *she had been organised for you?
Look, I dropped so many hints of Violet Gray I would have been extremely disappointed if I didn’t get one of your incredible pieces!
When you look down at your hand and see your ring, what does she symbolise to you?
Purity, strength, trust, love. Encased in a calming glow.
I fall in love with this ring, and the person who gave it to me, each morning I put her on!
