AIRE pieces are crafted in solid 14k Yellow Gold or 14k Gold Vermeil (3 micron = a very thick plating over the base metal which is 925 sterling silver).

The Gemstones that feature in this collection are Australian Teal Sapphires, Australian White Opals and a combination of Earth-formed and Lab-grown White Diamonds.

Each design has been crafted for everyday wear, with a focus on comfort, longevity and quiet luxury.

Gold Vermeil is nickel-free and generally suitable for sensitive ears. If you have highly reactive skin, 14k Solid Gold is the safest option.

Yes. AIRE was designed for continuous wear.

The 14k Solid Gold pieces can be worn around the clock — to sleep, swim, move and live in. If you are someone that likes to 'set and forget' your piercings (without your ears turning green) then these are the pieces for you.

The 14k Gold Vermeil pieces will appreciate a little more mindfulness and so to preserve their radiance, avoid all exposure to water, perfume, lotions, and cleaning agents.

We strongly advise that you remove them before swimming, showering, or exercising, and store in a dry, soft pouch when not worn.

Your Violet Gray pieces are crafted to be lived in and to accompany you through the soft, ordinary moments and the ones you’ll remember.

Solid Gold holds its quiet glow with ease; Gold Vermeil asks for a touch more mindfulness, a gentle ritual of care. A warm, soapy wash and a soft cloth will revive both metals.

Rinse your jewellery after ocean swims, exercise or time in the sun, and keep perfumes, lotions and chemicals away from the surface — especially with Vermeil, whose golden layer is delicate by nature.

When your pieces are not being worn, store pieces separately in their Violet Gray box or pouch, away from humidity and other metals. Gold Vermeil pieces in particular appreciate dry storage.

This simple act of care allows your jewellery to maintain its vibrancy for years to come.

A flat-back stud is crafted for comfort. The backing is smooth and low-profile, sitting flat against the skin without catching on hair or clothing.

It uses an internally threaded post, meaning the front of the earring screws securely into the back for a streamlined, everyday (tight) fit.

A regular stud uses a traditional butterfly back. These are simple to put on, but the open backing can feel less secure and may loosen with wear.

Flat-backs offer a modern, comfortable hold whereas regular studs offer a familiar, classic style.

Threaded earrings (and all fine jewellery) can naturally loosen over time with regular wear — through hair, clothing, sleeping, and everyday movement. For this reason, we recommend gently checking and tightening your earrings regularly (or after sleeping, swimming or washing your hair).

If you feel your threading isn’t engaging properly, please contact us so we can assess the piece.

Loss due to wear is not considered a manufacturing fault and is not covered under warranty.

If you feel something may be faulty with the threading or closure, please contact us and we will be happy to assess your piece.

Replacement singles may be available for purchase upon request.

Yes. We offer different post lengths so you can find the most comfortable and secure fit for your anatomy.

You can choose between 5mm, 6mm or 8mm.

If you’re unsure which length to choose, feel free to reach out and we can guide you.

For new piercings, always follow your piercer’s guidance and allow full healing before wearing jewellery long-term.

Our recommendation is that AIRE pieces are suitable once the piercing has healed, the swelling has gone down and your skin is stable.

Due to Australian hygiene regulations (and our own commitment to the wellbeing of every customer) we cannot accept returns or exchanges on earrings, including flat-back studs, hoops and any style that passes through a piercing.

Once an earring has left our studio, even if unworn, we can no longer guarantee it has remained uncontaminated or safe to resell.

This policy protects the health of all customers and ensures that every pair of Violet Gray earrings you receive is entirely your own.

Non-pierced jewellery (such as necklaces, rings and bracelets) can be returned or exchanged in line with our standard returns policy, provided they are in original, unworn condition. Explore more HERE

Manufacturing faults such as:

• Defective threading or clasps
• Posts or components not performing as intended
• Unexpected breakage not related to wear
  

Not covered:

• Loss, accidental damage, or wear and tear
• Snapped chains or necklaces
• Bent posts caused by force or impact
