Violet Gray has never been a brand that appeared fully formed. What started with beaded bracelets 14 years ago has grown into a globally recognised jewellery brand, worn by women around the world.

I've always been sentimental. Romantic, too. When I travelled, the jewellery I wore became a way of carrying intentions with me. I loved that something so small could hold so much meaning and reverence.

So in 2012, I moved to Bali and I started making bracelets - one bead at a time - and Violet Gray began.

Through years of industry training, travelling and learning on the ground in India, Indonesia and Thailand, and working closely alongside jewellers, stone dealers, setters and craftspeople, I've developed an understanding of gemstones, metals and the intricacies of how a design translates from an idea into something that can actually be made and, more importantly, worn.

I've learnt the tiny details that determine how a piece feels, functions and wears over time. And, perhaps more importantly, what can make a piece feel deeply personal to the person wearing it.

Today, it's still me behind Violet Gray. It's me you're speaking with when you send an enquiry or reply to an email. Particularly with our bespoke work, it's me you'll work with ~ from our first conversation and finding the right stone, through the design process and ultimately to the finished piece.

I design every Violet Gray piece and work alongside our jewellers, both here in Australia and offshore, throughout the entire process.

All these years later, creating pieces that become part of you, and part of your story, is still at the heart of Violet Gray.
