Plastic Free Packaging
We use 100% plastic free packaging; a considered and intentional combination of recycled or recyclable cardboard, recycled kraft brown paper (instead of bubble wrap) and paper packaging tape. Each purchase is hand-packaged in our Noosa Hinterland studio and ECO-protected for a safe journey to you. Further more, we use recycled office materials where we can and are always looking to choose more sustainable options.
Manufacturing & Materials
We are committed to quality materials, thoughtful sourcing and knowing the people who make our jewellery. All Violet Gray rings are made in Australia by skilled local jewellers, using Australian metals. We source Australian gemstones wherever possible, alongside stones from trusted and aligned Australian suppliers. For our everyday pieces, we work closely with trusted and aligned offshore makers, travelling to meet and work alongside them. We favour natural gemstones where they make sense, while embracing lab-grown stones when they allow us to achieve a particular design or make a piece more accessible.
Repurposing & Recycling
We believe beautiful materials deserve to be used again rather than sit unworn (or remain broken) in a dusty jewellery box under your bed. We offer a recycle & repurpose service which allows you to give unused or unworn precious metals a new life, while retaining any gemstones you may wish to use in a future piece. See the steps below.

Send your Pieces to Us
Once we receive your pieces, we'll assess the metals and provide an estimated value before any work is done. If you are happy to proceed, we carefully remove any gemstones and your metal value will be issued as a Violet Gray credit to put towards something new. (Gemstones will be returned for your future use).
Receive your credit note
This can then be applied against any Ready to Wear pieces in our online store, or towards a Bespoke piece that you would like to create with our team.
Moving Slower
Our purpose is to not simply add another product to the unnecessary mass consumerism of the world but to rather offer something deeply meaningful and long-lasting in your life. A piece that you can pass on to the generations to follow you.
We ship twice weekly, on a Tuesday and Thursday.
This is not a fast fashion brand and by shipping twice weekly we can limit unnecessary travel and therefore carbon emissions. This process also ensures that we can pour the love and consideration into the packaging of your pieces that you deserve.
