Having followed the work of Violet Gray Designs since the beginning, it felt like perfect timing to create a beautiful piece for my 40th birthday. Creating this piece with Alex was a joy, with my requests of my birthstone, rose gold and a few ideas from VG designs, the rest was left to Alex to create the most beautiful piece of art 💖 the purple / pink hues of the beautiful rhodolite garnet are so magical. Alex chose two tiny green emeralds which fit perfect to my other pieces and my heart. Finishing off with a special engraving inside the band to remind me of my ‘strength’ and how it has carried me. A process I thoroughly enjoyed, Alex and her crafts-womanship is super special.

Could not recommend Alex and the Violet Gray team enough! From the first conversation, all the way to the proposal and beyond, Alex has been incredible.
I found Violet Gray through Instagram, and enquired about my partners dream ring, and within an hour was sure I had made the right choice. I had some specifics in mind, though also a lot of details left to figure out, and Alex was so supportive, responsive and knowledgeable in every decision made. All the little additions and finer touches were perfect, and my partner and I are absolutely in love with the final product. Being clueless in this space, it was so easy to have someone as professional and well versed in her craft guide me through the process and make my proposal, and engagement so special.
From great customer service, to a ring that captures all of the ideas and concepts we had in mind, the Violet Gray experience from start to finish was perfect. I would recommend choosing Alex and her team for your special occasion. 11/10 all round!

I reached out to Alex only a few months ago in the lead up to the birth of my daughter wanting to create a bespoke necklace with our birthstones.
In a short time we’d spoken about the design and the only thing left to do was to wait and get the birth month of daughter.
Once I’d emailed Alex to confirm the stone it was only a short month and I had our forever piece with the perfect stone for each of us earth side and one for our darling angel in the sky.

She helped my partner rework my mother's engagement ring and we ended up commissioning her for our wedding bands. She is super helpful when it comes to resizing and is an all round pleasure. This is the second time that Alex has created a masterpiece for me, and I could not be more trilled with the results (again!). Working with Alex was a dream, she listened to my heart’s desires and crafted me the most magical wedding ring. She sourced incredible stones for me that sparkle more than the stars and her attention to detail was beyond compare. I wish include have a Violet Gray ring for every finger but one will have to do, for now!

We really had a vision in mind and Alex was entirely onboard for the ride.
Alex had already designed the ring I fell in love with and it was available in her ready to wear collection. It took me so long to find a design that was me, I wanted something unique and something that we could tie together somehow.
Alex helped me find the perfect olive green parti sapphire, tweak the band based on my personal taste, AND THEN design the most beautiful men’s ring to match mine. It is slightly wider and finished differently based on his taste. We have both received so many compliments on our rings, and its only been three months.
Alex was responsive, patient, clear in her explanations, creative and flexible. Everything you would want from someone helping you design something bespoke. The quality and packaging are absolute perfection. A purchase from Violet Gray is certainly an experience. You can see the effort that goes into each and every parcel.
We were lucky to have found her, and we now have the most beautiful pieces to remember our incredible day and the love we felt for all the years to come.

A fantastic personal experience. We worked with Alex to find my partners engagement ring. The process is made easy and Alex done her best to explain and make sure we understood what we were doing and helped us source the perfect stone for the chosen band. Alex generally seems like she cares that you get what you want and was very patient with our backwards and forward decision making. My partner did not want a normal style engagement ring but something more earthy and natural and Alex had some lovely options. We will definitely head back for the wedding ring when we get married. Thank you for a lovely experience. Can highly recommend Violet Gray for your rings :)

Ten whole years buying rings lovingly crafted by, Alex! To be surprised with a bespoke sapphire creation by my love, to wear forever was shocking and wonderful all at once. It’s been 6 months and I still marvel at how perfect it is and get compliments all the time at how unique and beautiful it is. Writing this review is an easy one. Do it. Nothing will compare and dealing with Alex in the resize was easy peasy. Highly recommend!

I have purchased many pieces now from Violet Gray and I love and cherish each gorgeous design. Alex creates each piece of jewellery with the highest standard in mind and from a place of heart felt intention. All the designs are unique and come beautifully packaged with love. I do find that they help me to reconnect with myself and the source as I use them to remind myself to breathe, be kind and present with all those I cross paths with. I first discovered Violet Gray at a beautiful little market stall in Paradise Point many moons ago. I fell in love with their stunning, unique pieces made with love and intent. I have followed VG grow and evolve ever since and added to my collection of pieces at special points along my own journey. I still have my very first purchase of a gorgeous little bracelet and every single piece has been worn, loved (and pulled at by my little cherubs) and all have stood the test of time. VG will always hold a special place in my heart, pieces are timeless, meaningful and made to the highest quality with beautiful intentions. I can't recommend VG highly enough.

My Violet Grey ring it is easily one of the most beautiful, high quality pieces of jewellery I own. The stone is a beautiful, earth grown Tanzanite, which sparkles in different shades of blue (and a hint of purple!), set in a delicate gold band. It has been on my finger every day now for a year, and it is as beautiful as it was on the first day I received it. I look forward to wearing it for many years to come.
PS - the whole packaging and the wooden box the jewellery arrived in are just as beautiful and thoughtful. I truly recommend Violet Grey to anyone who wants a meaningful reminder of nature‘s beauty which one can wear every day for years to come!

I bought and gifted two more of the same.
My most recent buy has been two pairs of beautiful diamond studs.

I have been buying pieces from Violet Gray for years. From dainty earrings, necklaces and some gorgeous statement rings. My absolute favourite purchase from VG is my engagement and wedding ring set. Alex was an absolute dream to work with for my custom ring, and was lovely and open throughout the process. I get so many compliments on my gorgeous ring set, and would highly recommend VG for any beautiful bespoke pieces.

I absolutely adore my Elysian bangle from VG 🧡 I’m a first time mama to a baby boy born in September so I loved the little sapphires which are the birthstone for September. Motherhood has its challenges & when I need a breather I twirl the bracelet & remind myself that this too shall pass. 🌈 I love the description each piece of jewellery has. It really makes you fall in love with every item. The packaging is so stunning & the entire Instagram page just radiates the most positive vibes. I recently purchased my cousin an 18th Birthday present (the I Am Growth necklace) and I couldn't have been more pleased with the service & presentation. Beautiful preserved flowers slipped behind a perfect bow on the box, the thoughtful I Am Growth meaning card which accompanied the necklace, even the sweet hand-written notes on shipping label - everything was thoughtful and delivered with intention. No matter how beautiful the pictures on the website - Alex's designs are even more stunning in real life. I wear my earrings every day and have received several compliments for how unique they are. Have purchased a number of items from VG for friends and loved ones which were all beautiful.
I gifted myself the gold chakra necklace range a few years ago and I’ve never taken it off, apart from regularly changing the chakra’s depending on my day. It still looks as good as when I purchased it. The chain is amazing - grand kiddies are constantly pulling and playing with it and it’s so strong yet delicate when worn. I just love VG pieces 🥰
