Origin of the Name: The word ‘aquamarine‘ comes from the Latin words ‘aqua marina‘ meaning ‘seawater‘ or ‘water of the sea‘, which goes perfectly with its beautiful colour and ancient mythology.
History: Aquamarine was used by the Greeks during the period 300 – 500 B.C. So much history!
Interesting fact: This precious stone was not only valued in ancient times for bringing eternal youth and happiness, Aquamarine was also thought to be a stone treasured by mermaids that was used to bring protection and good luck to sailors. A stone clearly, for women of the sea! Do you resonate?
Found: Aquamarine can be found and mined in Australia, the United States, Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Brazil.

Colour: The colour of Aquamarine is a bluish-green colour, not unlike that of the water of the sea. With Aquamarine, no matter where you are in the world you can imagine you have some of the sea with you.
